First Let's
Address The Issue
Kamehameha Schools Kapālama is a whopping 600 acre campus along the hills above Kalihi valley. The campus consists of over 70 buildings, an Olympic- size swimming pool, tennis courts, multiple gyms, athletic complexes, and track and field. Although Kamehameha has many of these facilities, not all 600 acres consist of buildings and complexes. Much of the campus's land is greenery and foliage, most of those plants are invasive and the more buildings we add, the more native plants we lose. Our group plans on replanting native plants such as Wiliwili, Ti Leaf, and 'Ulei.
